As a parent, like you, I get it when kids struggle to cooperate, things can easily escalate into conflict and frustration – but I have discovered it doesn’t have to be that way.
When my first child turned three, I realised she had an overwhelming need to understand her day—the “what” and the “when.” Any hope that she’d simply “go with the flow” quickly vanished. She was naturally drawn to visual cues and when I began to use them at home quickly discovered how much she loved and responded to them. Any frustration I felt was disappearing, allowing me room emotionally to connect and bond with her.
What changed everything for us was introducing visual cues. She connected with them instantly, and I watched her thrive as she embraced this new way of understanding her routine. The frustration I once felt began to fade and was replaced with opportunities to bond and connect.
Yet, while I could find visual tools for what needed to be done, I struggled to find solutions, that she would relate and connect with, to show her when.
My search for an answer left me empty-handed. So, I decided to create one. With input from professionals and thorough research, I developed My Rainbow Clock: an app designed to help children like mine—children like yours—connect with their day in a meaningful, empowering way. Through this journey, I discovered just how impactful the combination of visual cues for -the “what” and the “when” can be. They engage the brain differently than words ever could, making daily tasks feel more intuitive, less overwhelming and highly emotive. For those tougher, “boring” tasks, adding a fun visual reward can motivate children to tackle these, and over time, this can naturally transition into intrinsic motivation as good habits become established.
I’m thrilled to share this app with you and your family. I hope it brings meaningful changes to your daily life. Wishing you and your family countless moments of joy, connection, and growth as you experience the benefits of My Rainbow Clock!
